犀牛

在克鲁格公园，旅人较容易见到白犀牛。白犀牛喜欢在旷阔的草原而黑犀牛则喜爱生活在密实的丛林里。公园里约有5000只白犀牛及350只黑犀牛。犀牛是陆地上仅次于大象的第二大生物，前进的时速能达每小时50公里。成年的犀牛体重可达3.5公吨，有着宽阔的嘴巴，以吃草为生。犀牛住近水，泥巴区，喜树荫，较喜欢成群活动。所有的犀牛种类都是视觉差，但嗅觉和听觉佳的动物。妈妈犀牛会带著犀牛宝宝长达2–4年。

The white rhino is grazer with a big, wide mouth whereas the black rhino - a browser - has a more pointed mouth and uses its upper lip to strip leaves from branches. The white rhino is more easily seen as it prefers open areas unlike the black rhino which spends its time in thickets. There are approximately 5000 white rhinos dan 350 black rhinos in Kruger. Rhinos can run at up to 50kms per hour. Rhinos are territorial and demarcate their territories by regularly defaecating in the same location. These dunghills are called middens.
